Learn about the distillation process, try your hand at macerations, and taste a selection of our artisanal, farm-inspired liqueurs and spirits.

We’ll kick things off with a welcome cocktail and a light snack as we show you around the distillery. Learn about the distillation process and understand the inner workings of the still.

Then, we’ll delve into the fascinating world of macerations. See how we use fruits, herbs, and nuts to infuse our spirits with distinctive flavors. We’ll even kickstart a maceration session together, allowing you to actively participate and witness the alchemy of flavors taking shape.

We’ll finish with a tasting flight of AOOA’s unique, farm-forward liquors.

About the instructor: Ariane Daguin was born into a world of great food in Gascony, in the Southwest of France. She was an expert at deboning ducks, rendering duck fat, preparing terrines and cooking the game birds her grandfather hunted by the time she was ten. Ariane launched D’Artagnan in 1985 as the first purveyor of meats in the U.S. devoted to natural, sustainable and humane production. And in her spare time, she oversees the production of the artisanal liqueurs in AOOA’s distillery.
