About the event

All about pumpkins! Did you know that pumpkins are not just used for jack-o-lanterns? And that they are not all orange and round?

What kinds of pumpkins grow at the farm? How do they grow? What do they taste like? Can you eat the seeds?

Explore, experiment, and discover how amazing pumpkins are! We’ll do a taste test and compare different types of pumpkin. (You’ll be surprised how sweet they can be!) We’ll even make some pumpkin-inspired art!

For ages 5-9. We kindly request that caretakers stay onsite for the duration of the program.

Beth Verblaauw was a local preschool teacher for sixteen years. She is a children's librarian and children's program developer, a mom of 4, and loves finding beauty and adventure in the outdoors.
