About the event

Join us to celebrate the culmination of the 2024 artist-in-residence program! Artists, Eileen MacAvery Kane, Jenny Torino, and Nicole Peyrafitte will present a collection of art that uses watercolor, plant matter, flowers, fiber, and more to intimately portray the essence of AOOA.

At AOOA, our work extends beyond the fields and kitchen and encompasses a vibrant community of individuals passionate about the interplay between nature, agriculture, art, and activism. We invite all who share our enthusiasm for exploring biodiverse and productive landscapes to join us!

Eileen’s work explores our relationships with memories, family, community, spirituality, nature, and the environment through painting, photography, drawing, digital collage, and video. The interaction of these elements, and the sometimes unlikely pairing of them, is what interests her.

Jenny combines art & science to increase one’s appreciation of living things & the ecosystem. She creates outdoor interactive spaces, sculptures and paintings. She enjoys focusing on tiny, living things that often get overlooked, and works slowly to hyperfocus on shape, form and color.

Nicole is a Pyrenean-born artist passionate about learning through immersion and response-ability. Whether through paintings, films, texts, photographs, workshops or cooking, her works serve as mementos/reports allowing her to better understand the dynamic symbiotic complexities of the chosen terrain of investigation.

This exhibition is an opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind art pieces and support local art and agriculture. A portion of the proceeds from art sales will be graciously donated to AOOA, contributing to our continued growth as a nurturing space for both art and agriculture.

Admission is free, but please sign up in advance! Open to all ages.

Stop by anytime from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and join us in celebrating our artists! Light refreshments will be served.

Space is limited, please register in advance!
