About the event
Join us on Sunday, July 13th to celebrate Bastille Day with a fun-filled pétanque tournament, a beloved French game similar to bocce ball! The tournament starts at 12pm sharp. Merguez sausages will sizzle on the grill, and traditional French pastis will be a plenty in addition to our regular menu and cocktails!
Register your team of three for $30 and get ready to show off your skills on the pétanque court. If you're feeling extra spirited, feel free to show your panache and unity with a team uniform and name! Beginners welcome! Don't worry if you've never played before - we'll teach you the rules and get you started! Pétanque is a great game for all skill levels.
It is BYOB (bring your own boules!), but extra boules will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team!
If pétanque is not your thing, no need to register, but come join us as a spectator! Cheer on your favorite team, enjoy refreshments, scrumptious sausages and soak up the lively atmosphere of the tournament.
Bastille Day, also known as French National Day, is a holiday commemorating the storming of the Bastille prison in Paris during the French Revolution in 1789. It is a day of national pride and unity in France. Many French people celebrate the holiday by participating in outdoor activities, including playing petanque, which is a popular leisure activity in France.
Vive La Bastille, Vive la Pétanque à la Campagne!
