Felting at the Farm

Join Jenny Torino (AOOA AIR ‘24) to make your own farm inspired felted picture! Learn about different types of fibers for felting, transferring images to backing fabric, needle felting techniques, and where to find additional supplies. All materials will be provided. Attendees will take home their new skills and felted picture.

This workshop is for adults.

About the instructor: Jenny Torino (AOOA AIR ‘24) is an interdisciplinary artist who combines art and science to increase one’s knowledge and appreciation of living things and the ecosystem. She primarily uses fibers such as felted wool, textiles, yarn, and paper mâché to create outdoor interactive spaces and sculptures and paintings. Jenny observes and works slowly leading to hyperfocus on shape, form and color; focusing on these details becomes a meditation. She hopes her work kindles curiosity and motivates people to look closer at their surroundings and themselves.
