Cold and flu season, post-fall allergies, seasonal affective disorder… Winter has lots in store for us! But it’s not all sniffles and despair when our herbal allies are right by our side! Join us for our annual edition of healing herbs for the winter woes where we prepare our medicine cabinet for the season ahead.
Meet echinacea, mullein, elderberry, astragalus, linden, usnea, osha, boneset and more. These plants are renowned for their anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and immune supporting effects. Sip on delicious mullein milk and join us as we learn about their healing properties, how to prepare them and how to use them for colds, flus and infections. These are heartwarming and heart opening medicines that will nourish you all winter long, especially through times of transformation. In this hands-on workshop, we will be making various remedies from these plants including elderberry elixirs and various tinctures.

About the instructor: Alexandra Radoaca is an herbalist, wilderness guide, and sound practitioner. She focuses on building health through nourishment and working with local, accessible, abundant plants. She believes that herbalism is accessible to everyone. All we need is to follow our curiosity and get our hands in the dirt, the plants teach us the rest! She is a New York State-certified camping and hiking guide and a Wilderness First Responder.
