About the event
Interested in herbal medicine? In this introductory class, we will introduce you to mineral and vitamin-rich plants that are abundant in springtime (think violet, nettle, chickweed, and ground ivy) and learn how to make remedies with them to nourish and support our health and resiliency.
Class begins with a foraging walk where we will meet the plants, make wild salad, and learn about sustainable harvesting techniques and plant identification. We will then make delicious infused vinegars and oxymels -- that's a fancy word for an elixir made with honey, vinegar, and herbs. You'll get to bring home the remedies you've made. We will also explore springtime rituals to honor new beginnings and transformation.Â
No previous experience is necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
