Kids Only! Salsa Spectacular

Hey kids! Get ready to explore the world of tomatoes as you learn about their different varieties and how they grow on our farm. Through interactive activities, you'll discover the fascinating journey from seed to harvest, gaining a hands-on understanding of nature's cycles.

But that's not all – the highlight of the workshop is a fun-filled salsa-making session! After tasting various tomato varieties, you'll work together to create your very own salsa using freshly-harvested ingredients. With creativity and teamwork, you'll mix, chop, and blend to craft a delicious salsa that you can proudly taste and enjoy.

About the instructor: Beth Verblaauw was a local teacher for sixteen years. She is a children's librarian and children's program developer, a mom of 4, and loves finding beauty and adventure in the outdoors.
