Gather around a fired up grill with some pork butts and some just harvested farm veggies then dive into the sights, smells, and flavors of authentic wood-fired cooking. Whether you're a seasoned griller or just starting out, you'll learn expert techniques for smoking, grilling, and saucing — all straight from the playbook of the Pig Beach BBQ team. Expect to roll up your sleeves, cook alongside Shane, and get insider tips on everything from rubs and marinades to fire management and meat selection. You'll not only sharpen your skills, you'll also enjoy incredible food, and the camaraderie that only comes from gathering around the fire. About The Chef:
Shane McBride is a founding partner and Director of Operations at Pig Beach BBQ, with locations in Queens, NY, West Palm Beach, FL, and Boston, MA. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, McBride has worked in top NYC kitchens including Aureole, Lespinasse, Craftsteak, and Balthazar.
He’s an award-winning pitmaster and co-founder of the Ribdiculous Bar-B-Krewe, which won Grand Champion at the 2023 Memphis in May World Championship. In 2016, McBride joined forces with fellow pitmasters to launch Pig Beach BBQ, leaving fine dining to focus on authentic wood-fired barbecue.
He’s a frequent media guest and co-author of The Pig Beach BBQ Cookbook, recognized by the NYT, WSJ, and USA Today. McBride continues to cook, teach, and travel, sharing his passion for barbecue around the world.
