About the event
Come on down to AOOA Farm to hear Miss Maybell & Her Ragtime Romeos perform Early Jazz, Ragtime, and Blues!
This concert is generously sponsored by two amazing community members, Bob and Hildegarde Quinn. We thank them immensely for their generosity!
Admission is free, but donations are welcome! All proceeds go towards our Fresh Food for All program, which combats food insecurity by supplying nutritious, organic produce to local Orange County food pantries and feeding our neighbors in need. AOOA donates fresh organic produce during our growing season (March to November) and pastured eggs over the winter.
The cash bar will be open and food will be available to order! Don’t forget to BYOC - bring your own chair (and maybe an umbrella if you’d prefer some shade).
Space is limited, please register in advance! All ages welcome.
About the group: Miss Maybell & Her Ragtime Romeos play a large repertoire of Early Jazz, Ragtime and Blues. They source their tunes from dusty old 78 records and antique sheet music, trying to give new life to songs created over 100 years ago! With this unique sound and dedication they were recently featured on The NPR Show “Person, Place, Thing” With Randy Cohen. Miss Maybell and her band have grown a large following in the North East playing legendary venues such as Birdland Theater. They have also earned an international following from performing regularly in Europe, recently headlining Sevilla Swing in Seville, Spain and selling out a week of shows at Marian's Jazz Room in Bern, Switzerland.
