About the instructor: Heather Sloan has been spinning for over 35 years and knitting for over 50. She found the curly locks of fleece beautiful and was fascinated everytime it got spun into gorgeous yarn. The process of taking fiber from the sheep’s back and transforming it into a sweater on her back is thrilling. Heather started her own studio called Handknit Handwoven LLC where she sells beautifully crafted pieces. She also teaches knitting and spinning private lessons for those interested in more advanced techniques. She loves knitting with her handspun and recently started incorporating weaving in her practice as well. In addition to all things fiber she also makes silver jewelry, speaks fluent French and is a marine geophysicist!
