About the event

Join Amy Lewis Sweetman to explore AOOA Farm’s three special environments – the Field, the Grove, and the Pond. Participate in activities focused on fine tuning observation, creation, and acting skills. See what you’ve never seen before, create what you’ve never created before, and shapeshift into acting like the creatures who inspire you most! Take home your creations too.

Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited, please register in advance! Ages 6+

Caregivers must stay on-site for the duration of the program (no drop-offs). However, if it makes sense for your family, helps your child fully engage, and doesn’t detract from others' experience, we encourage caregivers to swing by the farmstand for food and refreshments, and enjoy a stroll. :)

About the instructor: Amy Lewis Sweetman is the founder of AGRISCULPTURE : Farm Equipment - Lovingly Rethought, a design practice launched in 2012 that blends nature, agriculture, architecture and the arts. From her studio on Sweetman’s Dairy Farm in Warwick, NY, she creates metal sculptures using repurposed farm equipment to raise awareness about environmental restoration. Amy also leads workshops for youth and adults on adaptive reuse and recycling, having taught at exceptional local institutions including Storm King Art Center, Wallkill River Center for the Arts and the Warwick Valley Community Center.
