About the event
AOOA Farm and Growing Adventures warmly invite you to our first-ever "Nature Tales and Sensory Trails" event on September 28th! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon on the farm where children ages 2-5 can experience the magic of “Music on the Farm” through an engaging storytime, lively music and movement, and open-ended play! This sensory adventure includes a variety of farm-themed sensory tables, creative crafts, and activities designed to enrich fine and gross motor skills, sensory exploration, imagination, and teamwork. Children will gather together for a story and music and then have the freedom to explore at their own pace. Parents will love watching their children engage, explore, and grow in this unique, nature-inspired workshop.
While your kids have a blast at the children's workshop, the farm will also be hosting Grill & Groove, a music festival, making it a fantastic day of fun for the entire family!
Light refreshments will be served.
Space is limited, please register in advance!
Ages 2-5. Caretakers must stay onsite for the duration of the program.
About the instructor: Growing Adventures, founded by Meghan Sabbagh, is the vision of a mother of two young children and dedicated school-based pediatric occupational therapist (OT), who saw a vital piece of childhood fading away: the joy and developmental benefits of outdoor, nature-based, child-led play. Recognizing the importance of letting children get messy, explore, create, and dig into their natural surroundings, she teamed up with her sister, a fellow outdoor enthusiast OT with a rich background in neurorehabilitation, physical disability and environmental modification. Their mission is to provide both formal outdoor OT services and community events that invite children of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to learn, explore, create, and grow through play.
