Plein Air Painting

The French term "plein air" means full air and refers to painting outside in the open air. So, come along...under the trellis ...on the farm…and paint! So many flowers, animals, and scenes to be inspired by. No experience necessary! Jodi Funck will teach you how to start a painting in the plein air tradition and will go over fundamentals from color mixing and building a composition to using perspective! This workshop will dive into the practice of plein air painting and empower you with the tools to start representing the world around you.

Jodi Funck is always happily creating something. She has a BFA in Art, Design and Education; works as a scenic artist; and has had her own business Brushworks for over 25 years which she started in the Vail Valley in Colorado. She has been represented in Hudson Valley galleries and has paintings and murals in businesses and homes across the country.
