About the event

As we bid farewell to summer and embrace the cool, crisp days of autumn, let's explore the rich symbolism and spiritual practices associated with this time of year.

In this workshop, we will delve into the themes of harvest, reflection, and transformation. Discover how the changing seasons can be incorporated into your daily life and learn about traditional herbal tools used in ritual to commemorate this time of year.

We will explore the significance of Samhain (the Celtic festival marking the end of the year), and discuss various herbal rituals that can be performed to honor this sacred time.

Get your hands dirty as we create besoms (witch's brooms) using natural materials like pine needles, sticks, and dried flowers. These handcrafted tools can be used in ritual or simply as beautiful decorations.

Finally, we will explore the spiritual aspects of herbs and create personalized spell jars to serve as talismans. These jars can be filled with carefully chosen herbs, crystals, and other ingredients to guide you through the more reflective time of year.

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world, deepen your understanding of herbal traditions, and embark on a personal journey of self-discovery!

Light refreshments will be served.

Space is limited, please register in advance!

About the instructor:

Toni is a passionate herbalist and educator with a deep-rooted connection to the healing power of plants. Inspired by her personal health journey, she embarked on a rigorous three-year clinical herbalism program at the Berkeley Herbal Center in California. There, she immersed herself in the world of herbs, learning from experienced elders and practitioners.

Toni has cultivated a strong bond with the land and its botanical treasures. She shared her knowledge and enthusiasm by teaching herbal and nature-inspired workshops in her Sacramento community.

Now back in her hometown of the Hudson Valley, Toni believes that herbal medicine is more than just the physical properties of plants; it's about the rich history, community connection, and intentional crafting that create its potency. By sharing recipes, rituals, and remedies, Toni aims to inspire others to rediscover the wisdom of the natural world and cultivate a deep appreciation for herbal healing.
